Abstract This paper systematically investigates the effects of control rate value and firing parameters on the performance of ferroaluminate cement clinker through industrial production trials. The research results indicate that the alkalinity coefficient (Cm) of ferroaluminate cement clinker for marine engineering should be controlled within the range of 0.90 ~1.00 in industrial production, and the clinker calcination process should involve appropriate hard-burning. This optimization scheme for ferroaluminate cement clinker can balance early and late-stage strength, resulting in favorable mechanical property development, and ensure a suitable setting time
