Abstract:In order to solve the problems of high brittleness, low tensile strength and easy cracking of cement-based materials in steel box girder bridge deck pavement, ECC for bridge deck pavement was prepared by polyethylene (PE) fiber, and silica fume was added to improve the dispersion of PE fiber, and the workability and mechanical properties of ECC were experimentally studied. The results show that the PE fiber is evenly distributed in the matrix, the 28 d compressive strength, tensile strength and flexural strength are 72.2 MPa, 4.15 MPa and 14.9 MPa, respectively, the ultimate deflection of the thin plate is 57.57 mm and accompanied by multi-crack cracking behavior, PE-ECC shows good ductility, and the properties meet the design requirements of bridge deck pavement materials.
