Effect of water solubility Cr(Ⅵ) in cement used in grouting engineering on underground water

Cement was widely used in grouting engineering for displaying good combination properties, but it also comprises Cr(Ⅵ), which could be directly brought into surface water and groundwater via constructions. This paper analyzed the current content of Cr(Ⅵ) in cement and focused on a large reservoir’s curtain grouting project to study the groundwater influenced by cement grouting. The results revealed that Cr(Ⅵ) at amount of 2.39 mg/kg in cement would cause the soluble Cr(Ⅵ) of groundwater out of the standard for two months. Cement contained Cr(Ⅵ) was a continuous water soluble Cr(Ⅵ) pollutant in the process of grouting and intermittent pollutant after hardening. It would increase the risk of serious pollution to the groundwater as the main material for a large scale grouting project.

New dry process cement clinker grindability conspectus

Base on abroad research ideas, the contrast test of new dry process cement clinker and proportioning were actual measured. The results indicated that the C2S content was main influence factor of clinker grindability, the other mineral phase, liquid phase and density had no significant effects. The grindability of rapid cooling clinker would be better than that of slow cooling, the effect of cement grinding process depended on grindability of clinker and raw material. Compressed finished grinding and combined grinding process could ignore all influence factors on grindability, grindability test could save energy over 30%~60%.

Process optimization and technology integration of high percentage of magnesium slag used in new dry process cement production

The property of raw materials and feasibility of magnesium slag applied in raw material was analyzed, and more reasonable proportion scheme of two-high and one-middle is proposed, namely high KH above 0.95, high SM above 2.7, and middle IM 1.55. Delicacy production plan was applied, problems in production were solved, relevant equipments were improved, such as preheater, calciner, kiln end feeding system, tertiary air valve, pulverized coal scale and raw meal scale, etc, and the overall technical integration and optimization scheme was formed. After production practice, when the content of magnesium slag was 20%, the 28 days flexural strength and compressive strength of clinker were increased by 1.0 MPa and 4.3 MPa respectively, and the production of raw mill and rotary kiln were increased by 22.4 t/h and 11.25 t/h, which yielded obvious benefits.
