Abstract:In order to explore the feasibility of a copper tailings ore in Jiangxi Province as an alternative raw material in the production of cement clinker, the properties of various raw materials of copper tailings ore and their effects on the clinker firing process under different dosage conditions were studied. The results show that, compared with other silica-alumina raw materials, copper tailings show fine particle characteristics and excellent grinding performance, which can reduce crushing and grinding energy consumption. The reactivity is better than sandstone and shale, and slightly worse than phyllite. When the amount of copper tailings is less than 1%, the burnability of the raw material can be improved, but excessive incorporation can lead to abnormal liquid viscosity and inhibit the development of C3S crystals. Due to the high content of harmful components such as sulfur and alkali and the relatively insufficient content of SiO2, the maximum allowable content of copper tailings raw ore in cement raw materials is 4.52%
