Abstract:This study explored the design of raw material proportions without traditional raw materials, and its waste concrete in raw meal higher up to 100% by weight. Recycled cement was prepared by calcining reclaimed cement clinker from waste concrete. Experiments and analysis were employed to compare recycled cement with reference cement. The results show that recycled cement raw material that meets the requirement of cement clinker rate range can be prepared by using waste concrete completely. The XRD analysis shows that the main characteristic peaks of four minerals C3S, C2S, C3A and C4AF in the three prepared cement clinker are clear, the position and strength of the characteristic peaks are consistent with that of the reference cement, and the mineral formation of reclaimed cement clinker is normal. In reclaimed cement, except for a group of alkali content exceeds the upper limit of the standard value, other chemical indexes, physical and mechanical indexes meet the specification requirements. In the reclaimed cement, except for one group of clinker whose strength is low due to overburning, the strength of the other two groups both reach the requirements of 42.5 grade Portland cement. It is feasible to produce reclaimed cement by treating, batching, calcination and grinding waste concrete from different sources.
