Abstract:In this paper, the Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar (SHPB) test system is used to study the effects of mixture ratio, temperature and strain rate of slag-fly ash-based geopolymer on the impact resistance. The experimental results demonstrate that with increasing mass ratio of fly ash to slag, the peak stress of the geopolymer decreases while the peak strain increases. At the fixed slag-fly ash mass ratios, the peak stress shows positive correlations with alkali activator content and sodium silicate modulus. The increase of calcination temperature will exacerbate material degradation, which is manifested as progressive reductions in peak stress and strain. Higher strain rates enhance peak stress and strain, indicating pronounced ductile failure characteristics.
