Abstract The main component of most chromium-reducing agents in the current market is ferrous sulfate. However, since the temperature of the cement after grinding is high and ferrous sulfate is not resistant to high temperatures, most of the chromium-reducing agents produced by manufacturers tend to be oxidized after being added to the cement, thereby losing their chromium-reducing effect. This project uses ferrous sulfate as the main raw material and mixes in auxiliary reducing agents and antioxidants. It alters the charge distribution and reactivity on the surface of the reducing agent particles, forming a protective layer on the surface of ferrous sulfate and other reducing agents to prevent ferrous sulfate from oxidizing to ferric sulfate at high temperatures. Through this process, a low-cost, high-temperature-resistant, and long-lasting chromium-reducing agent is successfully prepared. This enables excellent and stable chromium removal effects in cement production and application.
