Abstract Analytical reagents were used to prepare sodium-doped C3A clinker. The influence mechanism of calcination temperature and Na+ content on the mineral structure was studied. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Rietveld quantitative analysis were employed to investigate the effect of sodium doping at different temperatures on the changes of C3A crystal structure. The results show that the introduction of Na+ significantly reduces the liquid phase formation temperature and affects lattice distortion. When the Na+ doping content is less than 1%, Na+ replaces Ca2+ in the form of solid solution in C3A, causing lattice distortion, while the main phase remains unchanged. The solid solubility limit of Na+ in C3A is 1%. When the doping content of Na+ increases to 3%, the crystal structure changes. When the Na+ doping content exceeds 5%, the main phase of C3A changes and an amorphous product is more easily formed. This study not only verified the applicability of FT-IR in characterizing the structure of C3A in clinker minerals, but also provided theoretical basis and experimental method references for optimizing the performance of cement clinker through ion doping.
