Abstract To investigate the dynamic mechanical properties of basalt fiber UHPC, dynamic compression tests were conducted using a Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar (SHPB) to test UHPC specimens with three different fiber volume fractions (1%, 2%, and 3%). The research indicates that under dynamic compression, the failure mode of basalt fiber UHPC gradually transitions from bulk failure to powder-like failure as the strain rate increases. The dynamic compressive strength shows a trend of first increasing and then decreasing with the increase in fiber content; it reaches its maximum when the basalt fiber content is 1%. The peak stress of basalt fiber UHPC increases with the increasing strain rate. By fitting the dynamic peak stress against the logarithm of the strain rate, it is concluded that the Dynamic Increase Factor (DIF) exhibits a linear relationship with the logarithm of the strain rate
