Abstract Aiming at the challenges of resource utilization of solid wastes such as coal gangue, gasification slag and low-quality fly ash in coal mining areas, multi-source coal-based solid wastes were used to replace part of natural sand and gravel as well as cement for preparing C25 road concrete. The influences of different solid waste dosages on the working performance, mechanical properties, material cost and other factors of concrete for coal mine roadway construction were systematically studied. The results show that preparing concrete for coal mine roadway construction with high-volume multi-source coal-based solid wastes is technically and economically feasible. Considering the concrete performance, material cost, service environment and design requirements of coal mine roadways comprehensively, the gasification slag and coal gangue fine aggregate are suitable for compounding according to the mass ratio of 1:1, and the dosage of coal gangue coarse aggregate should not exceed 50%. On the basis of ensuring the performance indexes of concrete, the economic benefit is remarkable. The research results provide technical support for the in-situ resource utilization of coal mine solid wastes.
