Abstract Based on 15 years of laboratory research, industrial production, and engineering applications, this paper compares the main performance indicators of high-activity belite cement clinker and ordinary Portland cement clinker with reference to the GB/T 21372—2024 "Portland Cement Clinker" standard. These indicators include the main clinker mineral composition, chemical composition, setting time, strength, and hydration heat. The comparison results show that high-activity belite cement clinker has physical, mechanical, and durability properties equivalent to or better than those of ordinary Portland cement clinker, and it can completely replace ordinary Portland cement clinker in large-scale production of general-purpose silicate cement products. This has significant implications for promoting high-quality, green, and low-carbon development in China's cement industry.
