Abstract As a green and renewable energy source, geothermal energy has great mining prospects. Improving the thermal conductivity of cementing cement stone in geothermal wells can improve the efficiency of geothermal resource exploitation. The existing high thermal conductivity cement slurry for geothermal wells faces difficulties such as low thermal conductivity and poor compatibility of slurry. Through the researches on the optimization and compounding of high thermal conductivity fillers, the compatibility between high thermal conductivity cement slurry and cementing admixtures, and the influence of admixtures on the thermal conductivity and application performance of cement slurry, a cement slurry system with good application performance and thermal conductivity higher than 1.80 W/(m·K) was prepared by adding flake graphite, iron ore powder and other admixtures, which was suitable for the cementing requirements of geothermal wells. Due to good electron heat transfer or phonon heat transfer ability of the high thermal conductivity filler, it can improve the thermal conductivity of oil well cement by two mechanisms of close packing and thermal conduction path after reaching a certain amount of addition
