Abstract This study utilizes computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation methods to investigate the impact of different entry angles of tertiary air ducts on the performance of calciner. By comparing the situations of tertiary air ducts entering the calciner at different angles, the different effects on the decomposition rate of raw materials, gas temperature distribution, and raw material temperature distribution in the calciner are analyzed. The results show that different entry angles significantly affect the fluid dynamics and heat transfer characteristics within the calciner. The optimal entry angle demonstrates the best performance, effectively improving the decomposition efficiency of raw materials and improving the temperature distribution of gas and solid phases. This finding provides important theoretical guidance and technical support for the design and operation of calciner, facilitating further optimization of cement production processes to increase production efficiency and product quality.
