Abstract The setting time, mortar strength and pH of the mixed cementitious material system with 10%~50% modified phosphogypsum (WHPG) added to L-SAC were studied, and the effect mechanism of WHPG on the strength, pH and setting time was analyzed. The results show that the water consumption of standard consistency will increase and the setting time of the gelling system will be shortened due to the defects and rapid hydration properties of WHPG. The addition of a small amount of WHPG can reduce the actual water-cement ratio of L-SAC, promote the formation of ettringite, improve the compactness of the body and increase the strength. WHPG is weakly acidic, so pH decreases with the increase of WHPG content. WHPG continuously consumes alkaline substances generated by L-SAC hydration, resulting in lower pH in later stage. The properties of phosphogypsum-low alkalinity sulfoaluminate cement cementing system are very suitable for jet planting concrete
