Abstract China is a major country in industrial solid waste discharge. In the historical process of years of digesting the solid waste, the building materials industry has been the biggest undertaking of recycling, reduction and harmless disposal of industrial solid waste. Besides that, it is also the leader of the "double carbon" goal promotion and realization. In this paper, the main physicochemical properties of silica-aluminum system ecological cementitious material were investigated through the exploration and research on the preparation of high activity and low carbon ecological cementitious material by recycling coal gangue. The test showed that when the performance index reaches the grade 42.5 and grade 32.5 cement indexes, the comprehensive utilization rate of coal-based solid waste reaches 48% and 65%. Compared with ordinary Portland cement, CO2 emission can be reduced by more than 50% from carbonate decomposition when producing each ton of the silica-aluminum system ecological cementitious material. In a real sense, it breaks through the large-scale application of solid waste of coal gangue industry and the low-carbon manufacturing of cementing materials.
