Abstract:In order to effectively reduce the surface heat loss of the rotary kiln and the standard coal consumption of cement production, the development of new low thermal conductivity refractory brick has become the focus of research. This paper proposed a portable and low-cost method called “ABAQUS-assisted optimization design” for low thermal conductivity refractory brick composition, which focused the mechanical and thermal properties of the composition, and predicted its application in cement rotary kiln. The results showed that the low thermal conductivity aerogel material was combined with the traditional refractory brick with T-shaped structure, which met the mechanical properties requirements of refractory brick engineering application, and can effectively reduce the surface temperature of rotary kiln about 70 ℃. The low thermal conductivity refractory brick has potential application value
